Luca

This is Luca.

He and I have been together for eight years. He absolutely worships me (okay, Jeff likes to call it borderline obsession) and follows me wherever I go. I am a little worried about how Luca is going to adjust to the baby when we bring her home. Judging from past experience, he's not the biggest fan of babies, especially crawling babies. They make him very nervous. I have been watching lots of The Dog Whisperer thinking that if I learn exactly how to say "Shh" Luca will fall in love with the baby and everything will be great. So maybe I'm in denial a little bit..... But he looks pretty harmless, right?

And the thing is, children LOVE LUCA. He is little and cute and all they want to do is hold him, which I usually have to turn down due to Luca's trembling. He has been my "baby" for a long time now and I sincerely hope that he can be a big boy and somehow fall in love with our daughter. How is she going to resist this?

Besides, he really likes females. Jeff calls him a "girl dog." The white object he is laying on is a white "Chewy Vuitton" purse he received from his Aunt Amy. It's his favorite thing to fetch.

As Jeff and I were loving on Luca last night, I asked Jeff to please give him lots of love once the baby gets here and all of my attention is on her.

In the snow....

This is our house in the snow. FYI, The blue and yellow paint you see are NOT the colors of our house. That is simply paint primer. They are through framing it and I think the roof is almost complete. Jeff said they should start bricking next week. Yay!!!!

4D

Here is our little girl!!! It's kind of weird that you can't see her eyes, but we loved seeing her little nose and mouth. Paying the extra money for the 4D is so worth it!!! This truly made everything even more real and it was such a relief to see her. We have a video clip of the 4D that I'll try and figure out how to post.

End of January

This is what our house looked like yesterday!! It really feels like things are moving along now that we are in the middle of framing. Hopefully, it will be done by the early summer. That seems like such a long away, but it's hard to believe January is almost over.

And as for my pregnancy, I go for my glucose test tomorrow. I really, really hope I pass it. I think we'll be getting the 4D ultrasound very soon so I'll post that photo when we get it.

Jeff went to visit Craig's latest addition, Stella Lowrey, yesterday. He's getting lots of practice these days.

Happy New Year!!!

We went with the Luccasen family to the lake for New Year's. This is their youngest child, Piper. She's a doll. We both got in some practice before our baby girl gets here!! If our daughter is half as good and sweet as Piper, we will have hit the jackpot!

House update

This is what our lot looks like at the moment. Finally the walls are poured!!!
